OPWL Program Learning Outcomes
I chose Boise State University’s Master of Science in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning program because I knew I wanted to move into ADA compliance at the municipal level. My goal was to build on my experience in disability access while strengthening my foundation in organizational performance, systems thinking, needs assessment, and the design of effective workplace and learning solutions.
The program gave me the opportunity to examine performance problems from a broader organizational perspective and apply those concepts across different kinds of work. The projects presented here come from two courses: a Needs Assessment completed in OPWL 529 in Spring 2026 and three instructional design videos completed in OPWL 525.
These projects represent different points in the OPWL process. The Needs Assessment required me to investigate a complex organizational need, analyze evidence, and develop recommendations. The instructional design videos required me to translate instructional concepts into practical learning solutions and communicate those ideas clearly.
The Boise State OPWL program organizes its learning outcomes into four areas: Rigorous, Responsible, Respectful, and Reflective. The outcomes below provide the framework for examining the work presented in this portfolio.
